Yesterday was truly one for the books!
Our Anaya’s Care team woke up bright and early — and by early, I mean 3:40 AM — to prepare for an exciting day at the Valencia Sunday Market.
We brought with us boxes of pre-loved clothes, generously donated by Anaya’s Care members and some kind-hearted employees from GLOW. Our mission was clear: to raise funds for the upcoming Brigada Eskwela 2025 at Mabato Provincial Community High School.
As soon as we started unpacking around 6:00 AM, people started gathering even before we could properly set up! It was such a heartwarming sight — shoppers happily rummaging through the clothes, picking out favorites, and supporting our cause. Some even bought as many as 7 pieces in one go!
One of the highlights of our morning was how we kept the energy high with our little chant:
“For a cause, as low as 20 pesos!”
It made the area around our tables so lively and welcoming that more people came over, smiled, and supported the cause.
Honestly, we were a bit worried about the weather.
The night before, it rained really hard, and we didn’t have a canopy with us, so we were thinking, “What if it rains again? Or what if the sun gets too intense?” But God really showed up for us today.
It stayed beautifully cloudy almost the entire morning — not too hot, not too rainy — just the perfect setup for a fundraising event. It felt like a little blessing from above, as if God Himself was cheering for the work we were doing.
What made it even more special was the people around us.
When you’re working alongside people who share the same heart and vision, it doesn’t feel like work at all. The tiredness? The heat? Barely even noticeable. We were driven by one thing: to be a blessing, to make a difference, and to do it together.
Why We Did It
All the proceeds from yesterday’s ukay-ukay sale will go toward supporting Mabato Provincial Community High School’s Brigada Eskwela this June 2025.
With the funds raised, Anaya’s Care will be donating much-needed school supplies, paints, and other essential items to help create a more inspiring learning environment for the students.
It’s our way of giving back — of reminding the next generation that they are seen, supported, and loved by their community.
Heartfelt Thanks
We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who bought clothes from us yesterday. Your support means more than you know. Every purchase you made will directly help brighten the school year for the students of Mabato.
At Anaya’s Care, we hold on to our vision:
“No one is left to face hardships alone.”
And yesterday, we saw again how good things can happen when people come together for a purpose.
Until the next one! Stay tuned for more ways to spread love and hope with us.
